In that time, we have seen a lot of change. We have also grown as a health care system, adding services in Trenton that bring expert care to our community \u2013 close to home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than 40 years ago, I joined Capital Health as an intern. Since then, I held various jobs in the hospital before becoming CEO. No matter my role, my commitment to Trenton has never wavered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While our day-to-day work focuses on delivering health care services and is critical to the health of our patients, we know good health is more than that. Health care systems like ours have a responsibility to support the broader health and well-being of our entire community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div  class=\"vc_do_toggle vc_toggle vc_toggle_default vc_toggle_color_default  vc_toggle_size_sm\"><div class=\"vc_toggle_title\"><h4>Read more \u2192<\/h4><i class=\"vc_toggle_icon\"><\/i><\/div><div class=\"vc_toggle_content\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this, we are spearheading the Trenton Neighborhood Initiative (TNI), a major effort to build stronger relationships with our neighbors and strong, sustainable neighborhoods. Through TNI, Capital Health is partnering with residents and stakeholders to offer services that meet the needs of the community. To make TNI a reality, Capital Health provided $1 million in start-up funding and is securing additional funding commitments to reach our initial goal of $10 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I asked Trenton Health Team (THT), our longtime partner, to serve as the implementation lead for the Trenton Neighborhood Initiative alongside a core team of Capital Health staff.
